Hack Calibur Codes

Here's how to play as inferno:

D4C0BB77 BFBC1C06

1410162C 16B4539A

There are two ways to use this code:
1. In the character selection screen, after you have already chosen your character (and pressed x), when the character play's it animation, press select. The character will change.
OR 2. After you have finished the character selection screen and you are in the versus screen (where it shows 2 characters side by side), press select. The character name will change.

There are two variations to this code:

Q. Takagi / Spawn : When loading, the name is Q. Takagi, but in play the name is Spawn. (But the character is not Spawn.) Use this code just like the Inferno code.

Wovama / Noname : When loading the name is Wovama, but in play the character has no name. Use this code just like the Inferno code.

NEW: The first line of any code I have given that uses the select button can be changed to D440BB77 BEBC5C06, with the effect of changing the select button to L1+L2. This is advantageous when mixing codes. (See below)

(GameShark codes for Soul Calibur 2 on the Sony Playstation 2)

Mixing codes, new instructions, easier to use:

- Input the [M] mastercode
- Input the original form of the Inferno code, which is shown above. This will put Inferno on the select key.
- Input the Q. Takagi code, but instead use the alternate version of the first line, so that L1+L2 are used instead.

How to use this code in-game to change weapons:
After you have selected your character, at the loading screen, press select. The character name will change to Inferno. In game you will still have the character you selected, and he/she will be drawn with flames. After the first round, your weapon will randomly change. When you get to a weapon you want, press L1+L2. In the next round you will keep your new weapon, and the flames will be gone.

How to use this code in-game to turn on/off Inferno's flames:
At the character select screen, after you have pressed x to select your character, and the character begin's its animation, press select. The character will disappear and reappear as Inferno. While playing (or in the loading screen), pressing select will result in flames during the next round, pressing L1+L2 will result in no flames.

For completeness the original method of mixing codes is shown below. It is less well behaved and it is harder to use.

Mixing codes, original instructions:

Input the [M] mastercode, then the Inferno code, followed by the Q. Takagi code. There are two ways to use this code:

1.Do not press select during the character select screen, but instead press select many times (or hold down select) while in the loading screen (where it shows both characters prior to the battle.) The name will alternate rapidly from Inferno to Q. Takagi. In play, the game will either be:
a. The character you selected with flames.
b. The character you selected without flames.

2. In the character select screen, after you have chosen your character, and the character begins it's little animation, press or hold down select. The name will alternate from Q. Takagi and Inferno. You will get:
1. Inferno with flames.
2. Inferno without flames.
After the first few rounds, your weapon might not match your character, which can be interesting.

The code sometimes works better if you space out the gameshark codes. For instance, place a code or two between the mastercode and the Inferno code, or a code or two between the Inferno and Q. Takagi code.
